Still a little kid
Tuesday, November 27, 2007

Was helping my mum clear a cupboard today. SO much books, SO much dust. As she was passing them books to me, I stumbled upon one of my childhood favourite books, "The Magic Stone". Hahahahah started reading it too... then I continued to find my favourite book "The Magic Brush". Hehehhehe... so syok reading it... Don't know why I like em, probably it's the painting... There were quite a number of books that I remembered.. actually I remembered all of them.. hahahha could tell what was inside what book. LOL

There was one giant book, which I remembered was darn heavy when I was young, *it was the size of an atlas*, I only remembered Rip Van Winkle from it though.. heheh there were some pretty old Archie Comics as well...

The oldest I found would be a book from my mum's age. It was given from my aunt. The cost of the book was 50p. Hahahhaa.... hilarious this thing... Oh I found Richie Rich Comic, how interesting.. I shall stop now an continue reading the bedtime story books... heheh

Boutique Hopping?
Sunday, October 28, 2007

I was on my way ti ahve lunch when I realised that the place I was heading.. *an area more like* was filled with boutiques... then an out of nature idea / thought came to my mind... "hmmm... I could actually go boutique hopping"

Ahahahha.. wait till that happens... That area is really filled with boutiques, they keep popping up... I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years time an entire block in that area would be taken up by boutiques...

On a indulgent note... The new "Cornetto McFlurry" is so darn sinful... not to mention kinda pricey... But it's nice... *for me...* very nice... though it melts faster than the original... it's looks very different too... So go try it before it's too late! The spicy Mcnuggets wasn't too my liking though, the texture wasn't very nice. Not much bite to it...

Just a short little update... of sorts.. which doesn't really reflect anything that's going on in my life whatsoever.. but alas.. who cares? except for me.. but then again... oh well.. Cheerios!

P.S. I saw a relatively nice top while.. erm.. "drive through shopping", can't imagine me in one of those though...

KL Pac: Comedy Court
Sunday, September 23, 2007

Got a chance to step into KL Pac on yesterday. What a cool place. I suspect it was formerly a factory though... the space is very factory like, but the whole area, Sentul Park, is really pretty!!! It was night time so couln't really see the true baeuty but it was beautiful at night nonetheless.. They had these wire sofa sets which are pretty amazing but not very comfortable, it's steel what can U expect huh?

Must be wondering what was I doing in KL Pac anyway? Right, to answer that here's a picture... *and if U haven't read the title of this entry*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The tickets to enter... There's a small line of words that states the show.. wonder if U caught it...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Yeap, I went for a Comedy Court's 10th Anniversorry by Indi Nadarajah & Allan Perera. It was an amzaing show... very funny though I couldn't get some of the clips because the audio for some of them wasn't very good. They both have very good voices! Although Allan talked more, thier chemistry was hard to miss. Their impersonations were spot on. Allan with his hat looked a bit like Michael Jackson from the top... hahaha.. wodner if that's a compliment or and insult...

Shall look forward to shows by them... Wonder if I'll still have the chance... The show was well worth the money.. It ended rather late though, was kinda tired after that... So people, U still have the chance to catch it and appreciate Malaysian Comedy at it's best!

Can go to KL Pac's Website or Comedy Court's... *Google them, I don't want to link em.. there are records!*

Cheerios peeps... shall update soon.

The Simpsons....
Saturday, July 28, 2007

Da da da da da da da... da da... da. What an iconic theme song... Saw The Simpsons today and it was nice! LOL kinda nice.. hahahha i wouldn't mind watching again to catch all the "jabs" again... hahahha *btw I won't be doing a review*

I think i'm liking something even more... sigh.... $$ don't fly away..... I think ECO101 thought something pretty important, lesson being "With more income, people spend more". SO true...

I find The Curve Bazaar has quite a number of interesting things. Anyone wants to go?

Oh ah since today was the "CIMB Malaysian Open Final" I think... don't really know what it's called but it was held at The Curve and I was thinking "I didn't know The Curve had a squash court, do they?" I found my answer today! They do have a squash court!! it's a makeshift one but I feel it's pretty cool! It's in the middle and the court is all glass.. so cool.. didn't get a picture of it though... haha

Ah I also played pool today, a first after almost 10 years? The person I played with was a freaking pro.... like woah.... I think somethings do have beginners luck... I think I noticed something today but I'm not sure... wonder if anyone can rectify this... and I have someone in mind to rectify it for me... *cough* secret recipe *cough*.. i wonder if that just made sense... all well..

I think i'm attracted to more colourful things these days too... I dunno why... did the world suddenly have so many colours? wahahahhaha Ok, to sum it all... GO WATCH "THE SIMPSONS"!!!

Window? Phone?
Sunday, July 22, 2007

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Is this a window or a phone? I can just say that it's helluva phone no? but it's not a real phone though, just a concept... It's called "Tarati" & was actually inspired by the word "touch", therefore; instead of keypads, it has holes for us to interact with, there a concept behind this. To dial, we pass our fingers through the holes... pretty cool... It looks like a window or some sort of building... but it's still really cool!

It's designed by Branko Lukic for "nonobject", a book out towards the end of the year... The concept behind the design can be found here.

Alas it's only a concept, it might take a long time for it to be usable, wonder if any concept cars were produced... hmmm...

20.07.2007
Friday, July 20, 2007

Ah the time has arrived and the once in an entire lifetime number has appeared! I didn't do anything that was particularly memorable/ special to commemorate this fateful day, which means I didn't go rock climbing, kayaking, had a makeover or even jump out of a plane.... BUT it was quite a meaningful one. For me, it would be the most meaningful. :)

Had a little surprise waiting for me in the morning with a makeshift cake, had a surprise outside the cinema's toilet *it was that or in the cinema... omg... I will blush till the next day... hahaha*

Watched "Invisible Target"

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

and Surpise! Surprise! It was really entertaining! I actually think it's better than "Transformers", yeah U read right... It was quite a typical story line actually, one could roughly guess what was going on, but the direction was really nice, I actually felt like I was experiencing events at the same time the characters on screen were... Very nice! If it were split into 6 parts, it would be 3 parts Action, 2 parts Comedy and 1 part Drama. Good stuff... I actually kinda liked Jaycee Chan's role... hahah very goody... hahah oh, he looks A LOT like Jackie Chan... but i think Jaycee is cuter... hahahah oh the main bad guy was pretty cute too... lol... I didn't catch his name though... * oh wait, I found out it's Wu Jing, his pic below...*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I think i detoured a little, never mind there should be more detours... This day had a few firsts too, I went to Bar-B-Que Plaza *I have no idea how it's spelled*, it was quite a long eating process, and i asked quite a number of silly questions, hahaha but the food was ok, the sauce was nice too... *omg, my fav song is on! lol* At the restaurant, I also experienced a first regarding service. I would say it was bad or anything, but the server's attitude was little off? depends on how one sees it, but I think she was a little too playful? Didn't work for me though, I'm a more reserved person, so work your charm elsewhere, I was just felt it really odd.

I mean have u ever encontered a situation where the server takes your cup to refill your drink, U look up at the person and the server goes *this might be a bad translation* "What? you don't want is it?" I said "er... no need lar" *i kinda thought she was joking* Then she actually continued saying "So U want or not?". I was like "No, no need, I don't want" then she kinda gave me a look and said "ok lor" and walked off... ODD.... There were other situations too, I don't want to.... oh what the heck..

I just recapped the second "episode", the first was when she asked us for our student id's, then everyone was kinda lazy to take theirs out... then she said "no one want to give then no discount ah" I kinda asked the Coffeeholic to take hers before, but I dunno what got into me so I attempted to take mine too, the Coffeeholic was faster than me, then the waitress went "so slow, people faster than U lor"... er ok...

3rd episode, while bringing the cake, she wanted to take the cheque book, I stopped her and said we haven't paid yet, *if you are wondering why the cheque book was there, the people there though we wanted the bill, -.-"" and made a little round to show it to us... -.-"* She said, "Huh? haven't paid yet ah?" with a really are u kiddin me look. All it all, quite a weird shop hahahah ok next...

Kinda walked around the mall after, I don't seem to be able to find a bag that I really like, maybe I'm just not looking hard enough or maybe the theory of "what U want U can't find, but what U don't want just pops up everytime!" Soon them mates left one by one and it was "time to say goodbye"... I collected my last paycheck from my previous work... It felt a lot, I dunno, I forgot how hard I worked... Bought Lee Hom's Cd... more on that later...

Another first today would be, I met a girl who lived in Britain her entire life but has very little British slang... she even speaks cantonese... wow... She's my mum's primary Best Friend's daughter... I think i actually look her age... about 4 years younger than I am... hahahha.. interesting this..

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Another first would be listening to Lee Hom's newest album for the first time. I would say it is the best so far.. haha in his 2 previous albums I skipped a few songs, this album is unskippable, to me... nice nice.. I like it.. Especially the beats... nice stuff... 3 thumbs up!!! Oh and he's kinda into the environmental stuff too considering the minimal packaging and his list of things to save the environment.. nice!

What other firsts could there be? hmmm... Oh yes! I actually drove at night! hahah for quite a short distance though... "for a person that has gotten her license for a long time and only driving now is pretty bad" It's quite different, it's kinda hard to see the white stop line.... anyway....

To top the "day" it rained a little.. and you know what happens when it rains? "I'm only happy when it rains" hahaha It was only for a short while though...

I think I'm beginning to grasp the concept of birthdays, it's not what U do, but who you spend it with.... as long as one has good comapny, a birthday cannot go wrong... :) apart from that today will be the most meaningful cause along the way as I was trying to figure out what I was trying to do, I realised that the things that I wanted to do wasn't so powerful to coerce myself to do it, I managed to figure out that life isn't just about yourself but also other people, so I gave back a little to the community. *I didn't volunteer, I don't think I'm at that stage yet, I wonder if I ever will be" I actually did it without my mum forcing me... that is so odd... I think I'm changing...

I did another thing that I always wanted to do but just never got round to doing it... I applied to donate my organs actually pledge, cause I won't be donating it yet... :D I feel glad that I actually did though my Dad kinda protested, why? I have no idea.... It was quite scary filling in the form though.. hahaha especially the part where it said which organ U would like to donate.. hahaha.. SO if U want to pledge your organs or know more about pledging them, click here

And since this 20.07.2007 thingy has things to do with numbers.. what what happening to me at exactly 20:07, on 20.07.2007? I fired up my mp3 player and played the next song on the list and miraculously it was a song titled Happy Birthday in Chinese... I didn't even realise it was 20:07 till I checked out what time it was... hahaha

So it was a Good 20.07.2007! I finished typing this before 12 am!

Contest Crazy
Saturday, July 07, 2007

I think I've suddenly gone mad... wait... I think I already was.... oh well... As it's the country's 50th "Anniversary" there are contests EVERYWHERE!!!! Like I mean everywhere! *everywhere in my terms is places where I come in contact with* These contests offer A million bucks, houses, cars, mp3 players, handphones, concert tickets, cold hard cash and so forth and so forth....

Since I'm being mad and all, I want to join them all!!! Yes ALL!!! *ok maybe not all... cause I don't see myself buying a kg of Jati rice just to win a contest, though they are offering a million bucks if I'm not wrong... *where do these companies find a million bucks to give away?* Though that sounds quite sensible now that I think of it, a bag of Jati rice to win a million bucks.. that is a mighty incentive for just a bag of rice no???

Ah!! but for ALL these contests there is ALWAYS a catch somewhere... some require pure luck, some require very impressive creativity & and some are just contests that just rewards the well to do. But since I'm contest craxy at the moment I need to think of all the slogans I can come up with, pray that I get the best luck among the contestants that join the contest that requires pure luck and... and.. JOIN MORE CONTEST!!!

Since I'm such a "kind" soul, I shall state a couple of contests, big or small, & it's catch!
- The Star : Pure luck
- Telekom: Super impressive creativity
- Petronas: Creativity & effort
- MTV: Pure luck
- Jati Rice: I have no idea....

Most of the contests around requires slogans, which means either U impress the judges or not... so I guess it's a case of luck too cause some judges might like it some might not? gosh... this entry is so odd....

Oh well... time to run off, I noticed I haven't played my Sims for awhile... by the way, if there are any contests around that I might be able to join, do tell me... I want to win everything... even a buck.. hahahha Oh.. hope everyone enjoyed 07.07.07... hmm i shall state that I posted this at 0707 hours.. kakaka... what a cheat..

More than meets the eye
Thursday, July 05, 2007

I finally watched "Transformers"! It's a pretty entertaining movie. Keeps U entertained at least, not too much about them robots and not too much about the love story. My favourite part was *spoiler in next line* when the "crappy Camarro" changed into a darn cool Camarro.... *spoiler ends* Anyway it was an enjoyable movie definitely a must watch this "Summer" though the movie I'm really waiting for is "The Simpsons" but still this is a must watch. I enjoyed it eventhough I couldn't differentiate between the good and the bad at times... especially when they were fighting. I only remember Optimus Prime and Megatron.

After, "we", Coffeeholic & I, had lunch at Paddington's Pancakes. They had this Set Lunch offer that enticed us but in the end we didn't order the set lunch... hahahhaha we had Treasure Box

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

and a really cheesy dish.... oh... the sin... the sin....

After that went "whindow shopping", actually it was more, "enter, touch, flee" shopping. *meaning: enter a shop, touch here touch there, buy nothing & leave* There were some shops with interesting stuff... Cineleisure itself has some shops that sell interesting T-Shirts. There was this kiosk that sells T-Shirts with catchy phrases.... I liked one... but.... maybe some other day....

There was a particular shop that sold pretty nice stuff... Pretty special to me too.. wanted to get this handphone cover... but something else caught my eye.... but..... maybe some other time...

Bought doughnuts from "Big Apple" apparently they are really good. Should have bought 6, but I fear my family won't be able to scoff it all. Saw lots of interesting bags that are pretty out of budget... hahahha oh well.. someday.... so that was my day....

Oh! before I forget... I received something today!

A notebook? A Diary? An Organizer?

Nah... it's a wallet... A really early birthday present too... teehee.... I love it too which is great.... Now.. when shall I use it? hmmm....

Ah time to flee... Cheerios!

P.S. Thank U for the wallet YOU! hehe

Moments to Remember
Sunday, June 24, 2007

I noticed I haven't blogged about a movie in a while, probably due to the fact that I am not a very good reviewer and that I haven't had teh mood to catch up on movies or because the due to the fact that reviews are hard to write? My fav is the il mare one.. hahahha... ok cut things short. Just finished watching another sad movie. Yesterday I saw "Happy Birthday" touching but sad too... But I won't be blogging bout that cause I couldn't find a decent picture?

Today I shall review "A Moment to Remember"

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Yeap it's a korean film. I'm crazy enough to obtain em but too lazy to watch them... *click play also lazy...* I initially wanted to watch a different movie but this show won over cause it's already quite old and I wanted to watch Son Ye Jin... hahaha... *the other one had Moon Geun Young*

Ok I just typed a long paragraph of a synopsis that I just deleted cause that wasn't what I want cause it's better to not know the full story of a movie. No? Ok let's begin. The movie had typical everyday characters, people that one wouldn't notice on an everyday basis. The relationship was kept simple and nice. The characters were also well developed. Both the actor & the actresses carried thier roles well. One a man of a sad past and another, a person that seems so forgetful. But fate is a strange thing and strange things happen in movies that makes it all so touching & saddening at the same time. The movie deals with the sadness of being stricken with a kind of sickness, one that leaves U feeling so lost and that is so sad to watch.

Eventhough I knew the storyline beforehand *the twist & all, cause a little bird told me... * I still feel sad... maybe cause my tearducts like doing overtime... It was a nice show from the beginning to the end. This I like... though generally I accept a lot of movies except really crappy ones.....

So I know this wasn't a good review but I like picking favourite scenes... So here goes...
Favourite scenes (Sad or happy, I wouldn't say which was which):
- Su Jin (Son Ye Jin) & Chul Soo (Jung Woo Seong) at the Batting cage.
- Chul Soo foiling a snatch thief's escape
- Su Jin in Chul Soo's car.
- Su Jin remembering the first time she met Chul Soo
- Chul Soo & Su Jin seeing a plot of land Chul Soo was eyeing.
- Chul Soo telling Su Jin the inspiration behind the design of the house.
- Su Jin trying the smoothen a piece of wood.
- Chul Soo reading Su Jin's note at the table.
- Su Jin irritating Chul Soo to meet her parents...
- Su Jin arriving at the Family Mart and asks Chul Soo if it was heaven. - Su Jin drinking "her" coke. - Chul Soo drinking "his" coke. - The way Su Jin reacts when she sees Chul Soo in the lift - Su Jin snooping around Chul Soo's car. - Chul Soo's wood carving. - Chul Soo alone in the batting cage.

A long list it is... i wanted to add more but only those that seen it will know which scene it was so basically this entry is like a "syok sendiri" post. SO if ur up for a little tear duct action go ahead and watch this movie. I give it 2 thumbs up. I would give it 3 if only I had 3 thumbs... hahaha

P.S. This week readers get a "double whammy". 2 post in a week. Back to back too! P.P.S Incidentally, "A Moment to Remember" will be shown this Saturday.. hahaha

Sun Kissed Skin
Thursday, April 26, 2007

Soft hot sand, deep cool sea,
Bright fiery Sun, hidden timid moon,
A little shine, a little time,
The sun kissed skin will arise.

I think that sounds like a song and yes it does not rhyme unlike the previous one I wrote. I'm actually writing this entry again cause I didn't like the last one was to messy in one way or the other. So let's start over.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I'm on my way

I just came back from Perhentian today pretty amazing place still untouched by commercialism but I think it's getting there or maybe I'm wrong. Stayed at Lily Chalet, Long Beach which had a fine beach in front where we *10 of us* spent most of our sun time. The room that I shared with 3 other mates was pretty dark but we didn't really care. There was sand everywhere though, was slightly irritated by it but gave up after realising that the sand will never go away. My guess is that the chalet owner is called Lily... *ain't it obvious* *ok skip*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Lily Chalet at night

oh the menu was also filled with pictures of lillies... how cute... I-Rene noticed that, I just noticed that the food looked so unlike the pictures in the menu... haha

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The beach is pretty amazing but would sound just like a typical beach from any story book you read that describe beaches.

"Once you set foot on the sand you feel it's softness tempting you to step longer eventhough the heat from the sand is creeping up into your feet. To lose the heat you set foot into the crystal clear blue sea water and feel a sudden urge to stay in the water all day long. The soft sand beneath your feet, the cool water slowly lapping into the beach makes you want to lie there and while away your tiem gazing at the clear blue sky with hints of clouds floating about forming odd shaped animals"

Wonder if I describe it well cause that was how it is... U just couldn't wait to step into the sea it is so tempting U could just forget about everything and stay in the water all day long... Alas words cannot describe it's true beauty and there is a saying that a picture paints a thousand words but not all pictures do that, sometimes U just have to see to believe.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Water activities tooked up most of our time in Perhentian Kecil, it was spent either snorkelling or soaking in the cool water. Snorkelling was nice for a real beginner like me. It was quite intimidating at first but after awhile you get the hang of it. The guide was great help too. However; things don't always go as it does and a certain kind of animal refuses to allow us enjoy the wonders of nature.

10 people enemy #1 was the jellyfishes. They were in every snorkelling spot that we wanted to go. We were afraid the first trip but for the second trip we gave up and jumped into the tempting sea anyway. Luckily for us no one got stung by it. Saw a lot of fishes that I couldn't identify. I think I saw a tuna fish but I ain't sure, I saw Nemo though *yeap he was hanging around one of the stalls at Kuala Besut.. nyahahha* Yeah saw a few clown fishes, they are really small. I saw a pair of fishes fighting/ kissing which looked really cute.

Tried the banana boat. We fell only once which was good enough for me cause I didn't feel very safe. It would have been fun if you felt safe. Slept on the beach too for about 20 minutes I think. Not under the Sun mind you.

On one of the snorkelling trips there was a bunch of Chinese men trying to catch the sea. Oh how we wished thier ship would just topple over sadly their smart guide was able to balance the boat for them. Frankly speaking the odds of poking a small fish with an umbrealla is like experiencing snow in Malaysia. Now I know actions speak a lot about a person's character like how silly a couple of us are... myself included. hehe

examples of silliness, knocking on wrong doors, jumping around running away from a cat that is as big as a water bottle, being scared by the before mentioned cat.... I think that's about it... no other silliness so sad....

Hmm let's see, lodging covered, activities covered, AHA the food. Hmmm... what can I say the food was BEYOND my wildest imagination * not wildest lar, it just exceeded my expectations* I was expecting fried rice or fried mee but we had 5 people sharing 4 dishes and a soup with rice of course not to mention a plate of fruits plus drinks to quence our thirst. *we took a package, so I naturally expected less* Good stuff 2 thumbs up, oh it was at the chalet itself so we didn't have to walk far. Their staff were pretty friendly too though sometimes I didn't really get them... hehe.. oh thier ice lemon tea was pretty special, jakun kid like me never see before, the put an entire tea bag into the ice lemon tea and my guess is they squeezed the lemon though the a lot of sacs were inside... was pretty nice actually eventhough I don't like tea.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Ah the restaurant had Astro too and they ahd internet as well... a big satelite dish sat behind the bar next to the restaurant... it's like RM30 for an hour... that's like almost half of my streamyx bill... gasp... well life's like that. Look's like I got everything covered or have I? Oh I didn't mention our jakunness snapping pictures right before leaving where everyone at the restaurant were staring... malunya... I also didn't mention the alcohol or the lack of it, I also didn't mention the the walks to the other end of the beach, I didn't mention the lack of asian faces at "our" side of the beach too, I didn't mention my fear of the boat capsizing hehehe

I also forgot to mention about the STARS... When night fell the stars stood out from the vast dark sky, a little twinkling made the sky all the more mesmerizing and I believe on our first day there I actually saw the moon smiling *no I wasn't intoxicated*. I actually wanted to lie on the beach with a nice drink and stare at the sky, didn't do that though cause didn't want to dirty my clothes... the sad thing was that I couldn't identify any constellations... there were just too many I guess...

I also failed to mention the schools of fishes swimming near the opposite end of the beach.... reminded me of Pangkor.... hehheheh

The final point that I missed was that I failed to mention that some of us woke up at 5 almsot 6 to wait for the sunrise and Mr. Sun took his precious time to wake up... alas it was a cloudier day and Sir Cloud won the day as Mr. Sun was blocked *the reason being the cloud is a sir and the sun is only a cloud.. -.-"*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
No wonder Sir Cloud won, he had a horse to help him...

More things that I failed to mention was that the sea water was extra salty and burned the eyes as it fell into em, another thing is that I spent too much time under the Sun I got sun burn sans the title... hehe...

ok I think that's about it I hope U guess enjoyed this summarized version of the Perhentian trip and I wonder if a picture does paint a thousand words. Bye Bye Perhentian, Hello speedboat...

First jumping fest
Sunday, April 22, 2007

Woah... I legs are kinda killing me.... I'll be leaving for Perhentian tonite but first! I shall blog about the concert I attended yesterday... hehehhe My first ever concert and I picked rock... that's why my feet are killing me... so let's start it off....

Reached the stadium about 6 ish.. doors open at 6... we queued up like a km away.. that was how long the queue was... too bad we weren't VIP but irregardless.... took some pictures and did some catching up *pictures are with the peridot and I'm rushing to post this up.. so none for U guys* about 7:45 we rushed to the entrance as they opened up more lines....

went in shouted Fuyoh and got free "boomers"? which we discraded about 30 mins after... managed to squeeze to the end of the first half of the crowd... the view wasn't really nice but the atmosphere was great! MTV had 2 huge screens there and they kept playing the head lining act's music videos to build up our energy I guess....

waited for like an hour before the MTV veejays came on stage an "warm us up" they threw out freebies but thier hands were not strong enough.... jeez... so none for me... but before that got some fella throwing out freebies... Jac got a mousepad... hahhaha.. Oh Ashraf Sinclair was there and Jac wanted to take a picture with him and one lead to another and we were soon doing some pretty embarassing stuff... suffice to say "THANK GOD I HAVE NO ASTRO!!!!"

A couple minutes after the MTV VJ's went off stage the first opening act came one... One Buck Short.... pretty rocking stuff but didn't really know their stuff.... The jumping was nice... took the pain outta the legs... After that was Estranged and man "Itu Kamu" is awesome!!!!! The whole place was singing along to it.. so darn cool.... after Estranged left the stage... we started shouting for Good Charlotte... poor Lo he didn't even perform yet... hahhaha

Lo was great too.... I think cause he was more experienced then the other bands... Headed out for some drinks and kena kutuk gila... One particular guy was so pissed off that we were trying to get out... *maybe cause I didn't say excuse me?* anyone kena kutuk cause the water cost a bomb.. irregardless I ahd a little glo stick... hehehehe.. so cute the thing.. I wonder how it actually works cause U gotta crack it before it lights up....

About 10 ish the Act we were waiting for came on stage and the crowd that was sitting pretty far away during the opening acts crowded in front... We had a pretty good view.... The lead singer was probably the size of my thumb.. hahahha.... They started of with "Misery" and continued with "lifestyles of the rich and famous".... They played most of thier popular songs which is good cause I didn't really know thier stuff.... "Keep your hands off my girl" was the total bomb... *and if it were a bomb it would probably have been nuclear.. hahhaa* the other bomb was "I just wanna live".. * this one is atomic* and had great jumping! I like dance floor anthem though... "I don't wanna be in love, I don't wanna be in love" not yesterday night at least.. that's what the lead singer said...

I wonder if U guys figured out which concert I went yet... Yeah yeah It was Good Charlotte's.. so nice..... omg... I wasn't a fan though... and I don't think I'm a fan yet... but their stuff is pretty good... *secretly I didn't really like them last time.. but now they are rising up the ranks* My heart will only have Dashboard Confessionals... hahahha...

Other songs that they played was "the river", "we believe", "hold on" which was really nice too cause they turned down the lights and every held a light.... nice.... , "girls and boys", "All Black", "March On" which was pretty motivating and thier final song was "The Anthem" very nice song to end with....

I forgot the flow of songs so too bad.. they left the stage for a few minutes a quite a lot of people from the front walked behind and we moved in front.. Good Charlotte came on back though and now they were the size of my palm.. hahahha... took a couple of pics with my phone but couldn't really see who was on stage... but I know who was who alr cause I took the picture whut...

Shall put the clearer shots here...

The Return of...
Monday, April 02, 2007

A few months back "Blackie" posted a missing notice to search for his best bud "Beary Fishy" and Blackie says thank you for everyone's help in the "search". To refresh the minds of the readers here's the entry about Blackie in search of his best bud Beary Fishy. Now the search has ended with very good news indeed as....

U saw right! Beary Fishy has been found! Boy was it a long search but what an accomplishment. When all was lost, hope appeared and alas there was Beary Fishy! Now Beary Fishy would like to say a few words. he following entry will be continued by him and only him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello readers of this wonderfully blue blog! My name is Beary Fishy. U could call me Beary, Fishy, Bearish or Bearishy but never bear fish! I don't give birth to fishes for heaven's sake. Today is the first day I reached home and boy what a wonderful feeling.

Since Blackie me best bud spoke of how I left on the day before Chinese New Year eve to catch some fish, I shall tell my story of where I went and what happened to me all this while.

I reached my favourite lake on the eve of Chinese New Year. I stayed in a chalet by the lake the day before so that I would have a nice spot to fish on the next day. On that day I rented a teeny weeny boat to get to where the BEST fishes were. With my short hands I was lucky to have not tire down before I even reached my destination! I was there awhile before it started raining cats and dogs and wow! how large the cats and dogs were!

I had to paddle back as the cats from the rain were scaring all the fishes away. So no fish for Balckie and me then. :( The rain grew heavier with every single row and soon the teeny weeny boat was filled with water! I had to row with one hand and scoop the water out with another. I was quite unsuccesful as I ended up paddling round and round making circles in the lake, the boat was also too full to be salvaged. I stood up to try to call for HELP! I stood and lost my balance and fell head first. As I went down my head hit something hard and I soon passed out.

The next thing I know I woke up in a wooden house with a little bandage round my head. I tried waking up but my head was throbbing. Soon a lady and a man came in, they were speaking some foreign language which I could not comprehend. I just stared at them with my slit eyes to try and figure out what they were talking about. They didn't realise I was awake cause my eyes always seem closed anyway.

I soon gathered that they saved me from that rainy day. Soon i felt better and talk a walk around the kampung that's the word for a village, I learned that from one of the villagers. It was a village by the sea, oh what a beautiful sight! It was a sight to behold! Soft white sand glistening in the sun, crystal clear sea waters with lapping waves slowing easing it's way to the beach. Heck! I was probably in heaven already but alas I wasn't!

I was brought into a boat the very next morning. It was a fishing boat,I was ordered to catch fishes and for all this while that I was gone I had been catching fishes everyday. These fishes were even bigger than me! I had little to eat but lots to do. I rarely had any sleep too. I am so glad that kind souls saved me from that sweat shop!

Everyday I had to slave through the fishing, then there were the paddy fields that had to be worked. The only time I had any rest was when that man I saw on my first day here went away. I soon found out from my clever deductions that home was only a short distance away. I devised a plan to runaway as soon as my chance came.

One day, the owner left me alone at his paddy field. He said he would be back in a minute. I jumped on that chance and hitched hike my way back here. I was picked up by none other than the kind souls who brought me back. On my way back I saw posters of me! They were everywhere! Blackie must have missed me tonnes.

I reached home and saw a different Blackie. He looked more sad yet he was glad when he saw me. Not jumping with joy just a little smile and a little hug. I think he was terrified by me as he kept pretending to sleep. After my saviours were gone I looked for him and
asked him "what's wrong Blackie?"
he said:"U seem different."
I said:"Different? in what way?"
He said: "In everyway!" and ran out.

I was a little hurt by his actions. I don't feel any difference in me. I looked for a mirror and boy some major changes had indeed taken place! I was much larger now, my body was also more developed, my eyes are more slanting now. If U were me ur eyes would slant the way mine did too. Even the fish I brought back for Blackie was much much larger! it was even bigger than him. I tried to adapt my changes. I was much stronger now. Like what Blackie said, I WAS different!

I waited for him to return for dinner. He came back but he still looked sad. We had dinner and he said I rarely talked about all things fish anymore. He said he missed the old Beary Fishy, the Beary Fishy that was his best bud where they shared everything, thier meals, stories, clothes, time, basically everything. Now I ate more, talked less, had large clothes that Blackie couldn't even wear, it'll just slip right out from under him!

Blackie talked very little during tonight's dinner. He did the washing. He didn't eat the fish I brought back. He said it wasn't bite size anymore. I felt painful inside, I was wondering if he even missed me during my days away. Maybe I am not adjusting well or Blackie isn't adjusting well to the new me. I promised that the old Beary Fishy and I are one and the same. Blackie jsut couldn't accept it. Maybe time will tell and he'll slowly warm up to me.

As for now I'll try my best and see how it works. Oh how I wish I didn't go out fishing that day, how I wish I rented a big boat instead of a teeny weeny boat, how I wih I could understand the language that my captors spoke, how I wish I could runaway much earlier, how I wish I didn't know how to fish! Oh how I wish Blackie would just understand how I feel right now... I just want my one and only best friend back...

Screen Uncles
Friday, March 09, 2007

Hello readers, do you remember one particular entry where I gushed about a particular actor, about his character in a show? this might help U a little. So that was like so 2005 so this year 2007 there are new uncles to gush over.

Wonder how shows (tv dramas, short movies, movies, etc....) can make U feel how bergaya the "uncle" is... I think I remember reading a friend's blog about how korean dramas make uncles look so hot... hahahha

Ok to cut things short there are 2 new uncles to gush over. One is in "Music and Lyrics" Yeap, U guessed right, U can now gush over Hugh Grant and it's perfectly fine cause he was pretty witty in the show. His lines are very nice and he says them so nonchalantly that it doesn't even seem like a joke. He doesn't look like a typical good looking kinda guy, heck his droopy eyes make him seem like a puppy to me but hell his character was simply lovable in "Music and Lyrics".

Here's a picture of Hugh grant with Drew Barrymore in "Music and Lyrics". Picture taken from barnettimes.

Since Park Shin Yang is the nice-suave-stubborn uncle in "Lovers in Paris", Hugh Grant is the witty-hip-shaking uncle in "Music and Lyrics". Should catch this show, quite a typical rom com but, thier lines are very nice plus it's a little musical so go watch... I would give a rather ok 7 for this "uncle". The next "uncle" however, I would give a nice 8.5.

What I like about this 8.5 "uncle" I have no idea whatsoever. U could classify him as the dreamy-blur-blur-dumb-dumb-bear-like kinda uncle. Oh not to mention sleepy looking.. but he looks very hugable no doubt. I'm talking 'bout Gam Woo Seong in "Alone In Love". I only watched like 4-5 episodes of this, a few at the beginning and the last 2. He should be 37 so he qualifies as an uncle. He looks really korean, how nice if I could meet someone like him... kakakaka.. sensitive, caring, bear like *lol*, can be comical.... *ah now I think I'm dreaming too much*

Here's a pic of Gam Woo Seong in "Alone in Love". the girl behind is Son Ye Jin. Both of them were fantastic in the drama. What a nice pick.

Ah there's this guy in "Alone in Love" that looks pretty cute. Not as bergaya as Kim Sung Soo though. Son Ye Jin was his love interest. He looks very model like... not putting the name here though... here's a little pic... Not an uncle though, he's like 26.

Actually I didn't gush a lot. I ain't a good gusher or rather the mood to gush has faded away. I actually feel like gushing about someone else... someone on our local shores for a change eh? first I must check if he's an uncle. If he ain't well nvm.. some other time then... I shall split now... cheerios. Oh the korean pictures are from Hancinema.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Hi! My name is Blackie! That's me above! I know it says there Charco, but that's my younger sibling. I don't have other pictures and Charco looks exactly like me so I used his picture instead. So back to me, as I said before my name is Blackie. You can call me Mr. Black, Black, Blackstar or Blackie. Now I have a little story to tell, it's not a chain mail kind of story hopefully you will continue reading as this story is a little about my lovely relationship with my best mate.

See I'm from Doooland, if you still don't know, I'm a dooodoll. I came to Earth in the year 2004. Other dooodolls came with me too. I didn't have much friends as I was quite a quiet fellow but in the year 2005, things started to brighthen up. See for some reason whatsoever I became well acquainted with Beary Fishy a fellow dooodoll. We knew each other since 2004 but it's that kind of relationship where you know the other person and the other person knows you.

On the fortunate day of 19th July 2005, me and Beary Fishy became good friends. I'm glad we got to know each other. Beary Fishy would enlighthen me about all things fish and I would enlighthen him about all things black. My hobby was sleeping and his was fishing. I would occasionally sleep on his fishing excursions. We were like Winnie the Pooh to honey, always together. We went through thick and thin. Rain or shine we would always be together.

However; good things must come to an end and I'm sad to say that before Chinese New Year, Beary Fishy went on his usual fishing excursions. He wanted to catch a big fish for Chinese New Year, besides it was his favourite food. He left on the night before Chinese New Year eve. Beary Fishy's favourite fishing spot is very far from where we live. Apparently there are much larger fishes at where he fishes. It rained the whole day on Chinese New Year's eve. Beary Fishy never returned. I waited and waited and no sign of him and his fish.

He just did not come back from his excursion. So here I'm going to paste a flyer in case you find him wandering around some pond or lake.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Hopefully you can read the details. If U can't I'll tell U about it. His name is Beary Fishy! He looks exactly like the picture. He always has a fish in tow. He smiles a lot too. Oh he doesn't like people covering his mouth. He has slit eyes. Take his fish away and he'll growl! He's orange in colour. When he gets dirty his eyes show the dirt first.

If you see him please contact me. I miss his fishing stories. I don't want to be alone in the world again. Thanx for listening to my story. I shall look for him somemore. Hopefully he'll return soon.
